This semi-automated handle press created by Levin
Engineering assembles molded handle halves. It's an efficient design that is safe and easy to use for workers on the manufacturing line.
The assembly fixturing is fully adjustable to allow independent engagement forces on each set of gripper pins molded into the handle halves. Passive design features relax the alignment requirements of components protruding from the handle halves.
The machine is pneumatically actuated and PLC driven.
The handle press combines two assembly operations into one machine, minimizing table space and labor costs. It provides unrestricted top access to the product during placement in the machine and self-aligns parts protruding from the handle halves.
